PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland Thorns FC announced today that midfielder Gabby Seiler has undergone successful surgery at Sports Medicine Oregon to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in her right knee. Seiler will conduct her rehabilitation with Thorns FC sports medicine staff at Providence Park and at the Providence Sports Care Center and will miss the remainder of the 2019 season.
In her first professional season in 2019, Seiler made 15 appearances (13 starts) for Thorns FC, logging 1,123 minutes. Seiler made her Thorns FC and professional debut against the Chicago Red Stars on April 20 and started her first match on May 11 against the Orlando Pride.
