PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland Thorns FC have acquired a 2018 international roster spot and future considerations from the Washington Spirit in exchange for Portland’s 2019 natural first-round draft pick, it was announced today.
“With a quality group of internationals, and several young players already on our current roster, this trade allows us to keep the roster intact as we make a push towards the end of the season and into the playoffs,” said Gavin Wilkinson, general manager and president of soccer for Thorns FC.
Additionally, forward Meg Morris has been placed on the disabled list with a season-ending injury.
