We’ve now reached week 15 of the MLS season, and so welcome to the fifteenth forecast. Last week, the Timbers managed to end their winless streak with a 2-0 win against the visiting San Jose Earthquakes. Despite San Jose going down a man in the 37th minute after Darwin Ceren received two yellows in less than two minutes, the Timbers would not capitalize until after halftime when Valeri got on the end of a ball from Zarek Valentin. The rest of the second half remained nervy as the Timbers couldn’t find their second until late in stoppage time, when Fanendo Adi pinged the post and Valeri buried the rebound.
