The Oregonian’s Jamie Goldberg is reporting that Alvas Powell has been traded to FC Cincinnati for $250k in General Allocation Money and a 25% sell-on fee.
Powell will join his former PTFC teammate Fanendo Adi for Cincinnati’s inaugural MLS season along a backline which, as per Taylor Twellman, seems to be shaping up to include Greg Garza, Kendall Waston, Mathieu Deplagne, and Alvas Powell.
Powell spent six seasons with the Timbers and lifted MLS Cup with the team in 2015. In that time, he scored 10 goals and registered 10 assists for the club while featuring regularly for the Jamaican National Team.
