At the end of the 2015 NWSL season, two of Portland Thorns FC's favorites said goodbye to the field. Capping their NWSL careers in a six-goal shootout – against Mark Parsons who was then coaching the Washington Spirit – both Nadine Angerer and Rachel Van Hollebeke were given the goodbyes they deserved, with Crystal Dunn, Alex Morgan and Tobin Heath among those who delivered goals for Providence Park’s sellout audience.
Given that sendoff, it's no wonder that Angerer, now the Thorns' director of goalkeeping, has selected it as this Saturday's PTFC: From the Archives, presented by Providence Health & Services rebroadcast.
