TUCSON, Ariz. – Utilizing two separate lineups for the second straight match to start the 2016 preseason, the Portland Timbers first-half group held their opponent scoreless and did not allow a shot on goal for a second consecutive match Wednesday evening at the Kino Sports Complex in Tucson, Ariz. Midfielder Dairon Asprilla opened the scoring in the 38th minute for Portland, helping the first group earn a one-goal advantage over the Houston Dynamo. In the second half, 13 different players made an appearance for the Timbers, but Mauro Manotas scored a late goal for Houston as the teams settled for a 1-1 draw.
