In their second preseason game in Tucson, Ariz., the Portland Timbers lost 3-2 to Croatian First Division side NK Istra 1961.
The Timbers came back to tie game twice, first on a penalty kick conversion by forward Fanendo Adi in the 16th minute to make it 1-1, and then again via a headed goal by trialist Jhamir Ordain in the 80th minute which made it 2-2. Istra went ahead late on a penalty in the 87th minute.
Portland will next play Seattle Sounders FC in a preseason match on Saturday, Feb. 4 in the Desert Friendlies at the Kino Sports Complex in Tucson, Ariz.
