It’s finally here! The first streamed Portland Timbers preseason match of 2019, and against no less significant an opponent than the Seattle Sounders. The Timbers have already played two matches this preseason, both wins, off-stream in Costa Rica. Now in Tucson, the Timbers will ‘compete’ in the Mobile Mini Sun Cup over the next week and a half.
Still awaiting the arrival of a new designated player (recently rumored to be Eduardo Vargas) and a new right back, the Timbers have plenty of young talent to show off today, with players like Marvin Loria and Eryk Williamson who didn’t see MLS minutes last year.
