The Portland Timbers will today close out their preseason with a match against Real Salt Lake in the Mini Mobile Sun Cup. As this match serves as the final tune-up before the MLS season begins for the Timbers on March 2nd, and as the Timbers reserves played an off-stream scrimmage against FC Dallas earlier, all signs point to a fairly first-team starting XI this afternoon.
As usual with these preseason matches, the stream will be available on the Timbers official website as well as on YouTube.
With the newly-acquired Jorge Moreira having played with the second-string in the earlier scrimmage, it seems like Zarek Valentin will be the first-choice right back for at least the beginning of the season as Moreira acclimates more to the team.
