Timbers left back Chris Klute, who has been recovering from meniscus surgery, made his long-anticipated debut in LA. Klute made some mistakes, but was able to use his athleticism to recover quickly. He also looked comfortable at left back, which is something the Timbers have been missing all season. Klute should continue to get better with more minutes and could be the answer that Portland has been looking for at left back.
The Portland Timbers earned a critical point on the road at LA, but it came at a price.
