The Portland Timbers continue their US Open Cup campaign with a Round of 16 match at home against the LA Galaxy. In the fourth round, the Timbers used a squad full of T2 players to knock off the San Jose Earthquakes in a 2-0 home match, while the Galaxy triumphed over amateurs FC Golden State Force at the Stubhub Center.
Neither team played midweek, and will likely play much more first-team-heavy lineups as they hope to advance to the quarterfinals.
