PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Timbers will travel to face Cascadia-rival Seattle Sounders FC in the fourth round of the 2017 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup at Starfire Stadium in Tukwila, Wash., on Wednesday, June 14, at 7:30 p.m. (Pacific), it was determined today as U.S. Soccer announced all potential fourth-round matchups.
All 19 U.S.-based clubs from Major League Soccer, including the Timbers, enter the 2017 U.S. Open Cup – the 104th edition of the tournament – in the fourth round. Portland will square off against an MLS opponent for a third straight year to open the competition.
