Portland Timbers to give Timbers Army personalized MLS Cup championship ring

The Portland Timbers had a personalized 2015 MLS Cup championship ring made for the Timbers Army, the official supporters group of the club.

The Timbers organization had planned to surprise the TA with the ring at a later date, but Timbers owner Merritt Paulson made the decision to tweet out a picture of the individualized ring Monday after members of the Timbers Army set up a GoFundMe page in hopes of buying their own championship ring.

The Timbers announced last week that they would be auctioning off one final championship ring through their Stand Together program and members of the Timbers Army decided to set up a GoFundMe Page to buy a "Ring for the People" to give to the 107ist, the organizational arm of the Timbers Army.
