PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Timbers will face Los Angeles FC at Banc of California Stadium in the quarterfinal of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup on Wednesday, July 18, it was determined today after LAFC defeated USL side Sacramento Republic FC 3-2 at home in the Round of 16 on Wednesday night. The Timbers’ first road match of their 2018 U.S. Open Cup campaign will begin at 7:30 p.m. (Pacific).
The Timbers advanced to the quarterfinal for the third time in the last six seasons after defeating the LA Galaxy 1-0 at Providence Park on June 15.
