PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Timbers will play host to Los Angeles FC at Providence Park in the club’s 2019 home opener on Saturday, June 1, at 7:30 p.m. (Pacific), it was announced today as MLS unveiled details for each club’s home-opening match for its 24th season.
Portland will open the 2019 campaign – its ninth in MLS – with an extended series of road games due to completion work on a multiphase, $75 million stadium-expansion project that will add approximately 4,000 new seats to the east side of Providence Park and a host of amenities and improvements throughout the stadium.
