The Portland Timbers were minutes away from earning their first clean sheet of the season and a critical win on the road.
But they couldn't hold on to the lead.
Timbers defender Jermaine Taylor tapped in an own goal in the 89th minute as the Timbers (2-3-2, 9 points) settled for a 1-1 draw with the New England Revolution (1-2-6, 9 points) at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts.
More to come.
