With the 40th pick in the 2016 MLS SupderDraft, the Portland Timbers selected Jamaican forward Neco Brett out of Robert Morris University.
Brett, 23, is known as a player who can stretch the field and take players on, either playing out on the left wing and cutting inside or lining up as a striker at the top of the team's formation.
In his time with Robert Morris, Brett Has been a hugely impactful player, particularly over the last three years. After an uneventful freshman year, Brett went on to score 42 goals in 54 games from 2013 to 2015, as well as providing 16 assists for his teammates in that same period.
