TUCSON, Arizona -- Portland Timbers players Jack Jewsbury and Ned Grabavoy are dealing with minor injuries and were unavailable to play in Wednesday's preseason game against the Houston Dynamo.
Grabavoy has been dealing with a tight hip for a few days, so the Timbers made the decision to rest him Wednesday, Timbers coach Caleb Porter said.
Jewsbury has been dealing with a calf contusion and has not trained in four or five days, Porter said.
"We expect both of them to be back in training shortly, nothing long-term," Porter said.
