The Portland Timbers have waived forward Michael Seaton, giving the side an open roster spot going forward.
Seaton, 20, was with the team for less than a year, making only a handful of appearances for T2, the Timbers' USL side. A former D.C. United homegrown signing, Seaton was acquired from his hometown club late last season in return for Targeted Allocation Money and an international roster spot.
Spending most of his time with T2, Seaton found himself in a tight competition for minutes at the top of the USL club's formation, facing off against the likes of 2015 USL Rookie of the Year Kharlton Belmar and former Liverpool man Villyan Bijev.
