The Portland Timbers have officially signed center back Jermaine Taylor ahead of the 2016 season.
The Timbers drafted Taylor in Stage Two of the MLS Re-Entry Draft on Dec. 17.
The Jamaican defender is set to replace Norberto Papparatto as the third center back on Portland's roster this season.
The Timbers will open preseason training camp Saturday, Jan. 23.
