PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Timbers announced today that goalkeeper and children’s book author Jeff Attinella has donated 1,000 new copies of his book “The Curse Ends: The Story of the 2016 Chicago Cubs” to Chicago non-profit organization Cradles to Crayons, which provides children essential items they need to thrive at home, at school and at play.
“Cradles to Crayons does such important work in providing the basic necessities to families,” Attinella said. “We’re hopeful that our books can support their mission, while also giving families a bit of a fun outlet by sharing story time, especially when kids are missing their usual routines.
