The Portland Timbers signed a much-needed left-back on Thursday, adding Lithuania's Vytautas Andriuskevicius.
The 25-year-old played last season with SC Cambuur in the Dutch Eredivisie but was left looking for a new top-flight club after they were relegated at the end of last season.
The Timbers have been without a true left-back since Jorge Villafana moved to Mexcian club Santos Laguna before the season.
"It has been our priority to acquire a left-back in the summer transfer window, and we are pleased to welcome Vytas to the club," said Timbers general manager Gavin Wilkinson.
"We have been looking to add a more natural left-back that fits our system on both sides of the ball during this window, and we feel Vytas is a good fit for our club and the league.
