The Portland Timbers are off to Commerce City to take on the Colorado Rapids, putting their current five game winning streak on the line against the top team in Major League Soccer. As the second half of the Timbers' 2016 season kicks off, a result against the Rapids could leave the Timbers in good position to move on up the table.
Coming in to today's match, the Timbers are somewhat banged up and some important players might just be out due to injury. Of course Dairon Asprilla will not be available following his departure back to Colombia, but the Timbers are also in danger of missing goalkeeper Jake Gleeson, center back and captain Liam Ridgewell, and the "Maestro" Diego Valeri to injury.
