PORTLAND, Ore. – Major League Soccer today unveiled the full 34-game, 2019 regular-season schedule for the Portland Timbers. After an extended 12-game road swing to begin the season due to the expansion of Providence Park, Portland will return to play its home opener, presented by Providence Health & Services, on June 1 against Los Angeles FC and will conclude its regular season with 11 of its last 12 matches at Providence Park.
The club’s extended road schedule to begin the season is due to completion work on a multiphase, $75 million stadium-expansion project that will add approximately 4,000 new seats to the east side of Providence Park and a host of amenities and improvements throughout the stadium.
