BEAVERTON — Portland Timbers defender Nat Borchers lost a few inches of his iconic ginger beard in the champagne-soaked locker room after the team won the 2016 MLS Cup Championship in December.
Seven weeks later, back on the training ground at the Timbers' practice facility, it's back, along with Borchers, who gave an update on his facial hair.
"The guys took a few pieces out and it was kind of in tatters, I think, after the MLS Cup a little bit," Borchers said.
