PORTLAND, Ore.- The Portland Timbers welcomed back fans to Providence Park with an emphatic 5-0 victory over CD Marathón Tuesday night. Yimmi Chara notched the second hat trick in the Timbers MLS era while Diego Valeri and Marvin Loría also scored. Portland won the two-legged series by a 7-to-2 margin and secures a spot in the Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League Quarterfinals for the first time in club history.
