PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Timbers exploded for a 3-1 win over Vancouver Whitecaps FC Saturday night at Providence Park. Midfielder Sebastián Blanco had a goal and an assist, Marvin Loría hammered a game-winning golazo in the second half and Jeremy Ebobisse iced it with his eighth tally of the season the 90th minute. Additionally, midfielder Tomás Conechny picked up up his first career MLS assist.
The victory also vaulted Portland into first place on six points in the three-team Cascadia Cup competition with Vancouver and Seattle Sounders FC.
