PORTLAND, Ore. – Dairon Asprilla contributed a goal and an assist, Larrys Mabiala scored and Sebastían Blanco launched a rocket strike as the Portland Timbers earned a spot in the 2019 Audi MLS Cup Playoffs Sunday with a resounding 3-1 victory over the San Jose Earthquakes at Providence Park.
The sixth-seeded Timbers will go on the road to face Real Salt Lake with time and date to be determined.
