PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Timbers' unbeaten streak ended at 15 games as they lost 2-1 to Vancouver Whitecaps FC Saturday night at Providence Park. Diego Valeri scored his team-leading ninth goal of the season with a penalty kick conversion in the 71st minute while Vancouver goals came from Kei Kamara and Cristian Techera.
With the result, Portland, Vancouver and Seattle Sounders FC all each sit at three points each after two games played apiece in the Cascadia Cup standings.
