PORTLAND, Ore. – Diego Valeri scored a second half goal but the Portland Timbers lost 2-1 to Seattle Sounders FC at Providence Park Sunday night.

10' - CHANCE (POR) - Timbers midfielder Cristhian Paredes, left with open space outside of the Sounders 18-yard box, fired a skipping shot from distance that Seattle goalkeeper Stefan Frei got down to save but couldn't collect the rebound. Portland's Marvin Loría raced in with a shot that Frei then pushed over the bar.
22' - GOAL (SEA) - The Sounders scored in the first half as Jordan Morris came down the left channel before crossing a ball inside the six-yard box that bounced around a few players.
