Marco Farfan named to the MLS’ Homegrown Roster (MLS All-Star Game 2017)

The Portland Timbers announced today that defender Marco Farfan has been named to the 18-man roster for the MLS’ 2017 Homegrown game as part of the MLS All-Star week festivities. The Homegrown players will take on Chivas’ U-20 side. They’re the reigning Liga MX U-20 champions.

The game will take place August 1st at Toyota Stadium in Bridgeview Illinois. Farfan is the Timbers first homegrown signing and the youngest MLS signing at 18. He’s made seven appearances (six starts) for the Timbers this season. He’s also recorded 2 assists in five starts for T2.
