Lindsey Horan honored as Glickman Female Athlete of the Year

Add another award to Portland Thorns FC midfielder Lindsey Horan’s resume – a list of accomplishments which, over the last 12 months, has become markedly more crowded.

After a 2018 National Women’s Soccer League Soccer season in which the 25-year-old won the league’s Most Valuable Player award – and coming less than a month after she helped the United States win their second consecutive World Cup – Horan has been honored as the 2019 Harry Glickman Female Professional Athlete of the Year.

The honor, given annually at the Oregon Sports Awards to “the outstanding … professional athlete with an Oregon background or on an Oregon team,” has been given to female athletes since 1991, with Thorns FC goalkeeper Adrianna Franch winning last year.
