As the Portland Timbers enter the offseason, here are the key dates to keep an eye on around roster developments.
On Dec. 13, beginning at 6am PT a four-hour trade window opens in which teams may trade players. Other important dates include the MLS Expansion Draft on Dec. 15 – which the Timbers are exempt from due to having had a player selected in last year's edition – the deadline for clubs to exercise options on players on Dec. 13, and the opening of free agency on Dec. 16.
