It was March 26, 2011 up in Toronto, Ontario when the Portland Timbers were playing their second ever regular season match in their initial season when Timbers goalkeeper Jake Gleeson made his MLS debut. With Adin Brown (now the Timbers goalkeeping coach) injured in the first half, Gleeson was brought on in a 1 to 0 match at the halftime break in hopes to bring his team a point, but the youngster was unable to stop a second half goal as TFC posted a 2 to 0 win. Flash forward five years later, Jake Gleeson is now the starter for the Portland Timbers with Adam Kwarasey injured, and all Jake has done in the seasons since that start is win 3 championships in various levels and build an impressive resume.
