Portland Thorns FC’s Crystal Dunn and Becky Sauerbrunn played 90 minutes in the U.S. Women’s National Team’s 2-0 win over France on Tuesday. Lindsey Horan and Sophia Smith were substitutes and came on in the second half.
The U.S. traveled to Le Harve after their lackluster performance in Sweden. France was not at full strength due to a COVID-19 outbreak at Olympique Lyonnais.
The USWNT jumped out to an early lead after Alex Morgan was brought down in the penalty area. Megan Rapinoe stepped up to the penalty spot and made no mistake.
