Saturday's Portland Timbers 2-1 win over Sporting Kansas City saw many players back from injury return to the fold – Sebastián Blanco and Larrys Mabiala both came off the bench while Steve Clark started in goal – but it was the Diego Chara that was named to the Week 8 MLS Team of the Week presented by Audi.
The veteran midfielder played the full 90 for Portland making a team high 72 touches and 56 passes. He also made four tackles while marshaling the middle of the pitch.
