PORTLAND, Ore. – T2 today announced that the club and Roy Miller have mutually agreed to terminate the defender’s contract, allowing Miller to rejoin Costa Rican Primera División side Deportivo Saprissa, a club that he played with for two seasons before signing with the Portland Timbers prior to the 2016 season.
“Roy is an incredibly well-respected member of our organization, and we look forward to him hopefully one day returning to the club in a coaching or development role,” said Gavin Wilkinson, general manager and president of soccer for the Timbers. “We are pleased to be able to provide this opportunity for Roy to sign with his former club in his native Costa Rica, and we wish him great success in his return to Saprissa.
