Crystal Dunn was named to the NWSL Team of the Month on Thursday. Dunn was the only Portland Thorns FC player included in the May NWSL Team of the Month. Dunn scored her first goal for the Thorns in Portland’s most recent match against NJ/NY Gotham FC. It was a stellar left-footed strike that found the top corner and secured an important three points for Portland Thorns FC.
The other ten players that made up the NWSL Team of the Month included: Kailen Sheridan (NJ/NY Gotham FC), Emily Fox (Racing Louisville FC), Phoebe McClernon (Orlando Pride), Carson Pickett (North Carolina Courage), Caprice Dydasco (NJ/NY Gotham FC), Debinha (North Carolina Courage), Jess Fishlock (OL Reign), Sydney Leroux (Orlando Pride), Mallory Pugh (Chicago Red Stars), and Alex Morgan (Orlando Pride).
