The Portland Timbers have already brought in a pair of Costa Rican players over this offseason and now the team could be primed to add yet another if recent reports are to be believed. Santos de Guápiles defender Jhamir Ordain has been linked to the Timbers in a series of reports in the Costa Rican media over the course of the last day and there is plenty to give credence to the possibility of Ordain playing in Major League Soccer for the 2017 season.
Of course, Ordain’s move to the Timbers seems like anything but a lock.
While many reports have listed the Timbers as Ordain’s destination in MLS, others have broadened the player’s possibilities, stating that Ordain would be joining MLS, but that there are three teams that he could potentially join, with the Timbers appearing to be the front-runners.
