The Timbers Academy U-14 and U-13 teams hit the road for their longest away trip of the season to date to compete in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy Showcase Nov. 3-5 in Oceanside, Calif., against MLS academies and other elite club teams.
The Timbers U-13s assembled a 1-1-1 record at the showcase. In the first of two matches on Nov. 3, the Timbers U-13s played the Colorado Rapids Academy to a 1-1 draw on Alexander Borst’s ninth-minute goal. After a loss to LAFC, the team responded with a 2-0 victory over Real SoCal on Nov. 4; Bryan Rodriguez and Gunder Miller each notched goals.
