Thorns FC forward Christine Sinclair played the hero Friday as she scored the game-winning goal for Canada in a 2-1 win over Brazil in the Rio 2016 Olympic Bronze Medal match in Sao Paulo. It was the Canadians' second-straight bronze medal having previously medaled in the London 2012 Olympics.
Sinclair, who started and played the full 90, was a threat throughout the match. In the ninth minute with the score tied 0-0, she expertly curled a free kick that pinged off the cross bar and out of play.
