PALO ALTO, Calif. – The dynamic Portland doubles tandem of Iva Zelic and Sally Pethybridge have advanced to the finals of the ITA Northwest Regional Championship following Monday's semifinal win at the Taube Family Tennis Center.
The duo defeated California's team of Makenna Thiel and Erin Richardson 6-3, 6-2 and move on to Tuesday's title match.
Zelic and Pethybridge continue a phenomenal fall campaign that has seen them record an 11-2 record thus far against top competition at the Milwaukee Tennis Classic, ITA All-American Championships and now ITA Regionals, where they have won five matches to reach the finals.
