Gonzaga Invitational Draws I Southern California Intercollegiate Championships
SPOKANE, Wash. – Portland freshmen Issa Yoshida and Leo Hibi claimed two of the three singles titles in play on Sunday at the Gonzaga Invitational in Spokane, Wash.
Yoshida beat Stefan Lalovic of Boise State by a 6-3, 6-4 margin on Sunday for the Red Flight championship. Yoshida dropped just one set in his four singles wins on the weekend.
Hibi defeated Bryan Husin of Gonzaga 7-5, 6-3 for his first collegiate title in the White Flight. Hibi's four wins on the weekend came against competitors from Boise State, Utah, Montana and host Gonzaga.
