PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Pilots led by 13 points early in the second half, but the Pepperdine Waves pulled away late for a 66-59 victory Thursday night in West Coast Conference basketball action at the Chiles Center.
Pepperdine junior point guard Colbey Ross struggled early, but scored 27 of his game-high 30 points in the second half. Ross added a career-high 14 rebounds to propel the Waves (15-13, 8-6 WCC) to victory.
Tahirou Diabate led four Portland players in double figures with 12 points. Isaiah White, Chase Adams and Malcolm Porter each finished with 10.
