Today marks the beginning of the USA Track & Field Olympic Trials at historic Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore., and the University of Portland will be represented by a trio of athletes. The top track and field athletes in the country will compete from July 1-10 for a place on the US Track & Field team at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in August. The top three finishers in each event will earn a spot on team USA.
2015 graduate Scott Fauble will first be competing at the Trials tonight in the 10,000m.
