PORTLAND, Ore. --- Portland senior distance runners Anna Farello and Calli VanderWilde both received an invitation to attend the NCAA's 2016 Career in Sports Forum, which is scheduled for June 2-5 in Indianapolis, Ind. Each year, the NCAA invites more than 200 current student-athletes and NCAA postgraduate scholarship recipients from around the country with an interest in working within the sports industry.
Farello and VanderWilde are two of seven total student-athletes selected from the West Coast Conference to attend the prestigious forum.
"Supporting NCAA student-athlete leaders with their education is a key goal for the Association," said Bernard Franklin, NCAA executive vice president of education and community engagement and chief inclusion officer.
