UC Davis Salvages Win in Finale, but Pilots Take the Series

DAVIS, Calif. --- After the Portland Pilots won the first three games of the four-game series, the UC Davis Aggies salvaged a win by prevailing 4-3 in the finale played on Sunday afternoon at Dobbins Stadium. Trailing by a run, the Aggies scored the tying run in the bottom of the fifth and the go-ahead run in the sixth en route to the win.

The Aggies (1-3) previously took the lead with two runs in the bottom of the first inning off of Portland (3-1) starting pitcher Jordan Horak. Ryan Anderson drove in one of the runs with a sacrifice fly, and Mark Cardinalli claimed the other RBI with a single.
