PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland sophomore guard D'Marques Tyson continued his hot shooting by drilling eight three-pointers and finishing with a career-high 28 points, but San Francisco controlled the game in an 87-76 victory Thursday night at the Chiles Center.
San Francisco (11-9, 5-5 West Coast Conference) had six players score in double figures, led by 19 points from Ronnie Boyce. Don't'e Reynolds added a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds.
Tyson, who made his first career start Thursday night, eclipsed his previous career-high of 25 points scored last season against Valparaiso. He made 8-of-17 three-pointers in the game and added four rebounds and two blocked shots.
