PORTLAND, Ore. --- Two-Time Olympian & Silver/Bronze Medalist Courtney Thompson spent a day with the UP volleyball team last week, working with the team on mindfulness and confidence. A three-time AVCA All-American setter and NCAA National Champion at the University of Washington, Thompson now works for Compete to Create, a company founded by NFL Coach Pete Carroll.
"We have made a commitment this year as a staff and team to not only train the body, but also the mind," said head coach Brent Crouch. "We've begun daily 10 minute meditation session as a team, and are learning a new common language that allows us to address previously undisclosed facets of our lives as players, students, and coaches.
