Toreros Score Late to Post Comeback Win over Pilots

PORTLAND, Ore. --- Portland led San Diego after six innings on Saturday at Joe Etzel Field, but the Toreros scored five unanswered runs during the final three frames to claim a 7-3 win over the Pilots in the finale of three-game West Coast Conference series. Ryan Barr, Cooper Hummel and Eric Sapp each had two hits for the Pilots.

Neither team was able to piece together much offense during the first three innings, but San Diego (23-24, 10-11 WCC) finally got on the board with a pair of runs in the fourth. One of the runs scored on a wild pitch, and James Bonds made it a 2-0 game with an RBI single up the middle.
